Texel Growvite All Ireland Championships 2016
This year the Irish Texel Sheep Society is celebrating its 40th Anniversary. We are delighted that for the 2nd consecutive year the National Texel Championships will be held at Co. Louth Agricultural show in the picturesque surroundings of Belurgan Park, Dundalk, Co.Louth, on Sunday 12th of June. Mr. Alastair Gault, Forkins Texels, N.I will be the assigned judge for the competition.
Over 200 Pedigree Texel sheep from across the country will be exhibited. Ten very competitive classes will be judged on the day, which will culminate in the awarding of The Supreme Texel Champion 2016. This is a great opportunity for all to view the premium quality of stock from many of the top flocks in the Irish Texel Sheep Society. Many of these exhibited will then be offered for sale at the upcoming Premier Sale on 12th and 13th of August at Blessington Mart. We invite you to join us in our celebrations at Belurgan Park where a great day with top quality Texels will be displayed and plenty of surprises are guaranteed.
